Chapter 1 - The Choosing

“Welcome, everyone, to the first annual Relic Games!”
King Lummie’s voice rang out through the speakers along the crowd of County 12.
"To begin the Choosing, I will explain to everyone what the purpose of the Relic Games is. Last year, a group of County members attempted to assassinate me - your king! They were led by a cruel person named :green_circle: The Entity. Thankfully, the attempt was thwarted, but I figured that you all might need a reminder of who your leader is. Therefore, every year I will select 2 pets from each County, and they will all fight to the death! The last pets standing will get to live in peace. We will move east to west, starting in County 12.
Toxic was nervous. He knew there was a non-zero chance he would get picked, and as a mere Tarragon he wouldn’t stand a chance against the other pets. He got even more nervous when King Lummie reached into the glass container containing the names of everybody in County 12.
“The first competitor of County 12 is… Turtle!” Toxic saw a small Duskclaw jump in surprise and fear, but he was glad he didn’t have to be the one representing County 12.
Just then, King Lummie reached into the County 12 container. Toxic was startled, as he had forgotten each County would have two competitors! King Lummie pulled a name out of the container, and when he heard the name, Toxic’s heart stopped.
“The second competitor of County 12 is… Toxic!”

Forest was excited. Due to being County 11, as well as being a Trondle, he had a really good chance of winning the Relic Games if he was picked. County 11 was the best at combat.

“Now, we will reveal the County 11 names. The first competitor is… Epi320!”
Forest saw a sturdy Mystyyk jump up in excitement. There was only one competitor left, and there were okay chances he would get picked.
“The second name is… Forest!”

Nice hunger games but prodigy story. I love president snow/Lummie.

Edit: Wait, lemme guess: Turtle falls in love with toxic and then Lummie announces that two can win if they are from the same county except he takes it back once they’re the only two left, except they thwart him and start a revolution.

Hmm, that reminds me of something, but I’m not sure what…

I probably won’t do that though, since that would make things too similar.
