I (Kai) have made this a topic for now so I can wikify it for infinite edit time. More will be added as time goes on. This will be a general Prodigy guide, but as it goes on, I will focus on Prodigy Math more as I don’t play Prodigy English or Science (science’s member only) (also don’t really play Game Island), but if you do, feel free to do sections on Prodigy English or Science!
Anyone can edit this guide, just please don’t grief it.
For Editors
DON’T EDIT THIS GUIDE WHILE OTHERS ARE EDITING!!!
Change your vote in the poll if you are editing:
- Yes
- No
Please note that the poll might not be accurate, sometimes people forget to change their vote, which is why you can check in the editing tab if someone is editing (it should show near the top.)
This guide will essentially be combining multiple guides into one, along with new stuff!
This guide was primarily made for the people that joined this forum without playing Prodigy and want to learn how to play!
Images will most likely be added AFTER the writing part of the guide, but if anyone has some free time and would like to help, you can do the images!
Guide isn’t done very much by me (Kai), but that’s because all the stuff I wrote was on mobile, and I will write more when I’m on a computer.
Creating an Account
I have to give credit where it’s due
:
👤 How To Create Your Prodigy Account!
First off, if you don’t know the website, go to https://prodigygame.com and click the button that says “Play Prodigy” underneath where it says “I’m a student!”.
Once you get to the log in page, click where it says “Sign Up” and follow the instructions it gives you. It will ask you for your name and initial (you can make that up),
grade level (you don’t have to put your real grade level if you want easier or harder questions). If you put your real name, it will ask you to choose your Prodigy name later so what you put when signing up won’t be shown to everyone. After you make an account, you may be asked to join a class (which gives rewards, but I’ll (Kai will) make a section on that later.
Once you do all that, you can choose whether to play home or school and so on. From here, you can play Prodigy Math, Prodigy English, Prodigy Science (member only), or Game Island (at the time of writing this, it’s 5 minutes a day for non-members and unlimited time for members and in beta so don’t be upset if you don’t have it).
That’s it! Thank you for reading this section of the guide!
Getting Magicoin: Where and How
There are a few ways to get Magicoin, although limited for non members.
- Daily Magicoin Rewards: You can find this on the right sidebar with a Magicoin symbol. You can collect 5 Magicoin every day after school and on weekends.
- Treasure Track
: You can receive Magicoin by claiming certain member rewards throughout the treasure track. Ultra Members can also get a monthly Magicoin reward in the Treasure Track
- Festival Rewards
: You can receive Magicoin by completing certain member quests during festivals. The only exception is Starlight Festival, where you can also complete rewards for Magicoin as a non member.
- Limited Time Rift Rewards
: You can receive Magicoin as a lucky loot reward in Dragon Isle Limited Time Rifts. This has since been discontinued.
- Completing Daily/Weekly Treasure Track rewards
: You can complete a certain amount of daily or weekly Treasure Track rewards to receive Magicoin. This has since been discontinued.
- Microtransactions
: You can pay real money to receive Magicoin in game. This has since been discontinued.
Events
These are some of the events that are in prodigy, and when they happen and other information.
Starlight Festival
The Starlight Festival is a festival that happens around August to October. The main currency of the festival is star shards. You can fight the boss which is Sir Constello, To get rewards.
Pumpkinfest
Pumpkinfest is a festival where you use candy corn to buy items. In the story Hollow Jack steals (eats) all the candy corn and you fight him to gain rewards.
Winterfest
TBD
Unnamed New Years Festival (Likely called Moonlight Festival
This festival was hinted at by Prodigy leaks and a Winterfest cutscene
Springfest
Springfest is an event starting in Spring. Magic eggs are the currency of Springfest. You can find them by going through Lamplight Town once every day or battling monsters (all elemental callers excluding ice) around the island. There are 2 NPC’s to give the eggs to, Don Zorro, and Harriet Hood. You need masks to go in the areas, guarded by Borgo and Verna. This is also a good time to get a flower mount, only being obtainable while this event is running. (Credit to the Prodigy wiki for the info, not the words.)
Summerfest
Summerfest is a Summer water themed event that focuses on water activities. The main currency for Summerfest is Sand Dollars. These are used to buy items from the shop. Players can get 25 Sand Dollars if they spin the Wheel Of Sun, and they can get 10 Sand Dollars if they beat Applepot during a daily battle*. With any other battle the player wins, they will get 1 Sand Dollar every monster. These are also available from Member rewards such as the June Membership box.* *Applepots have been stealing food, which gives them a “bounty.” (Info from the wiki)
Limited Time Rifts
What can you find in limited time rifts?
Festival Rifts
You can go through 4 rifts, getting specific 1st time rewards like festival currency and pets. You can also battle a Dragon after completing all rifts in the rift. These rifts feature specific element themes, and sometimes varying pet restrictions, although they can also stay the same throughout all 4 rifts. You can also go to the Rift Event Shop to buy different pets related to the pet restrictions. These can sometimes appear during festival downtime, but are primarily tied to festivals
Rift Cycle Rifts
You can go through 4 rifts, collecting area currency, gold, and Golden Dragon Scales. You can spend the Scales in a rift cycle shop with cycle rewards and weekly rewards. The weekly rewards include Antique Relics, morph marbles, dragon buddies, and pets. There is a set cycle time, where the rift will be open nonstop, while changing element themes weekly. The cycle rewards are open the whole cycle, and usually include a gear set. As with Festival Rifts, there are elemental themes, but unlike Festival Rifts, the restrictions are the same throughout all 4 rifts, and there is no dragon to battle.
Shops
Do you want to plan out what to buy later in the game, but can’t see the price of items because of level locks? Look here for your shop item encyclopedia!
