Hello, everyone! Welcome to the group, where we collaborate and create guides, help others, and bond together as a community committed to the Prodigy Education game franchise.
Read the rules, FAQ, and ask questions before you start editing. Read the rules, (coming in a future post) before replying, posting, or doing anything else. We’d greatly appreciate you starting off strong!
I am posting the major rules and guidelines for the site, so make sure you read those. I recommend every new user attempting to read this, as it is very important.
Starting Out
For starters, this part is for anyone recently joining. If you are new, please read the FAQ, and the About page to learn a little more about what this site is about. (Spoilers: You will receive a badge for doing so!) These two sections are important and should be read so you know what this site is committed to and about.)
Posting
Posting is one of the best things about this site. You can reply and create topics, and message users, but sadly, there are rules. Yes, everywhere there are RULES. Not posting appropriately can lead to consequences, starting with a warning. Here are some tips while posting:
-
Use appropriate language when posting, creating topics, or chatting. This includes cursing, inappropriate terms, or controversating conversations, etc.
-
Be kind and have respectful conversations. Use proper language and respect all users. This group was founded to unite our community, not discriminate against them. Not doing so will result in consequences as it is violating the FAQ and rules of the community.
-
Try not to have conversations that aren’t related to Prodigy. Anything unrelated to the game, its content, or not seeking help about the game will be removed. We have categories and a reason to have created this group.
-
Don’t excessively spam replies or say irrelevant things. It will be detected and will result in severe consequences. We want this to be a comfortable and creative space for all members, and we aren’t afraid to enforce and protect it.
-
Please dont advertise anything publicly. That is posting links to other sites, with the purpose of redirecting others to that site. Now, putting stuff in DM’S and PM’S are fine, as they are private, but not in the public chats.
Content of Posting
When posting, please post things that aren’t off-topic or unrelated. This includes a long list, but the main ones are off-topic, sexual or explicit content, violent, racism, discrimination, or anything else that sparks negativity on the forum. There is a section specifically stating what you can and cannot post: read the TOS.
Flagging
If you see something wrong, specifically something that is off-topic, inappropriate, or various reasons that include making you or someone else uncomfortable or unsafe, please flag it! The best thing to do is to flag it so one of the moderators can review it and remove it if it isn’t supposed to be there.
Excessive flags from a specific topic, post, or user will result in a variety of consequences. They may include a warning, a silence or suspension with variable extent, or banning from the forum. Please do not make us go that far–we don’t want to have to do that.
If you do excessively flag constantly for no valid reason or for unqualified posts or topics, you will face consequences. It is rude, unnecessary, and unfair to the user. There will be the same consequences as listed above. Again, we would not like to do this, so don’t provoke us to do so.
Trust Levels
As any other discourse site has, we indeed have trust levels. Trust levels can be earned by participating and being active on the site, and the higher your trust level is, the more abilities you can have on the site.
Do not ask to be promoted unless you have reached the listed qualifications. If you aren’t promoted and meet the requirements, contact one of us. I recommend waiting a few days before contacting one of us, as we will become very busy.
Help
If you need help, first ask another fellow user before contacting a moderator or administrator. If you are having conflict or dispute within a certain category, contact one of the category’s moderators. They will assist you as soon as possible.
If it is a continuous issue, contact an administrator and there will be disciplinary actions. We want to make sure all users are in a safe and comfortable environment.
If the help is related to Prodigy, make a topic and fellow users will assist you. If it is a personal issue, (unrelated to the game itself but the forum) contact a staff member.
And that’s all! Thanks for reading these rules. Apply them whenever you’re on the site, and I look forward to seeing this community grow together!
As always,
@Forest
