Well I mean.
I actually crunched the numbers and you can self host for 18 bucks a month and get way better features then on the starter plan, plus a yearly payment of seven dollars (in our case) for a domain.
Discourse overcharges lol. Well they do the maintenance so that’s something I guess.

no, your forum has to be either for crowdfunding, your open-source project if you have one, or if you’re a creator (like a content creator)
