I had lots of good memories with Play Prodigy (that was the name back then I think) when I was younger, but now that I am older, I realized that it changed. They have grown greedy and locked so many things behind purchases. Also, the amount of advertisement they have is getting out of control. A lot of Prodigy nerds are probably aware of this, but someone in 2021 (I think?) had 19 minutes of playtime, and only got 4 questions… and a whopping 16 ADVERTISEMENTS. Not only that, but how these ads are formatted are bad, too. They make it so that they aren’t targeting the ads to a general audience, but they are targeting them specifically for those little kids who don’t know any better than to keep ranting their parents to get a subscription. This user named Ker even expressed how much he hates the ads and the monetization here: I've had enough guys
Even though I am still a kid, I am going to try to sue them, not to gain money, but to de-monetize Prodigy. If you guys can help that would mean a lot. Wish me luck.
First off, I know several friends of mine that reached out about it, but they just kept monetizing Prodigy even more. Also, I am not trying to get rid of monetizing completely. I know they have to make money, but having an in-your-face type of monetization (such as the extensive amount of ads, the ranks, the fancy clouds and outfits that screams “I am rich” vibes) is what I want to get rid of. I know I didn’t clarify that in the post, so thank you for this comment because this allowed me to clear that up.
I think this is bogus because honestly, I don’t play prod much anymore. there are better things. go outside. touch the mushy green stuff on the ground. I have no argument nor agreement in this. however if you are seriously taking action. I will gladly help. Anything that is meant for kids should not have any major products to buy. If they really want to help. Help them in saving money instead of making them waste it, just so they can do something in a game, when, in 2 years, more or less, they may not even play the game anymore. My opinion on such things are stated as one whole or a whole one. Taking away a child’s money, that could be saved, for idk, a time its needed like college. The best way they can help the future generations of our society is by helping these children learn, but also at the same time helping the future.
My secondary claim is, I am sure something like this is stated in a terms of agreement somewhere. Has much it is the company, it also lays with the parent and/or purchaser. If they took their time to think about what could happen in their future than they would understand that they have better reasons to have the money that they have worked to get rather than a company that has many other people giving them, as the company, money. If not the fault of the children’s lack of future intuition, then also point at the parent, for they did not tell the child about the thought of wasting the money.
Has stated though my opinion, is not of support for either party, however read deeply because I do believe I have stated all things that are what you need to think about when in this.
