making it to where people cant express their opinions about dragon island.
and then we have bounty here, who closes a topic over a small debate on opinions
yeah he may like it because heās basically made itās endgame and tried to defend it, but it doesnāt mean donāt let others discuss their reasoning of not liking it.
and then claiming that people are lazy, and donāt put in effort. when most of us have a life and outside activities. but still have taken some time to play dragon island
if he wants to have his unpopular opinion, he can. weāre not stopping him. but trying to convince his opinion stands out more, is a little extensive for this kind of discussion- while basically silencing/stopping the opinions of others to be heard by closing my topic.
Huh? Iām not silenced right now.
Iām also not trying to like defend anyone. Iām just making sure you all donāt attack him. This isnāt that deep.
It has a gameplay loop that at least ensures that almost every run will be different. Which, harmony island had something similar, but not the same.
Harmony Island almost had min-maxing with the runes system, and trust me, Iād know. I tried to go as fast as possible. That isnāt existent in Dragon Isle, itās obvious which choice is better than others. (EX: Gearless < Reflect Shadow)
Lastly, You can catch pets on Dragon Isle, which is taken advantage of with the rarer pets as you get farther system. You could NOT catch pets on harmony island, and I found myself disappointed by that multiple times, after finding rare pets on harmony island.
To add onto what I said, there are some bad thing about Dragon Isle, it isnāt all pluses.
First, it is incredibly repetitive. Eventually, you just know what to expect. Part of the fun of the first couple dayās of Dragon Isleās release was experimenting with different downsides and upsides, seeing which ones were better than others.
Second, RNG. Harmony Island suffered from this aswell. The in-rift RNG can either make your run extremely easy, or end your run instantly, with no warning. Also, the spin at the end of each run doesnāt have very good rewards. The Dragon Orbs themselves are a 25-33% chance. It gets worse though, the spin at the end of the dragon fights has VERY bad odds, I havenāt gotten enough drops to figure out the chances.
Finally, the P2W. I agree that it has a lot of P2W, especially with the extra choice, but yāall act like Harmony Island had ZERO P2W, which is false. With a membership, you could get an extra spin on the rune spin, which let you finish Harmony Island ~50% faster, depending on your luck.
You make a good point, which is that it seems like Harmony Island is overpraised in order to make it seem like Dragon Isle is a lot worse. In reality, both are fairly pay to win. Because Prodigy as a whole is pay to win.
That being said, Prodigy has good design usually so Iām automatically a fan.
Okay, Iām unsilenced.
Iām sorry if I acted on instinct and made anyone look like their opinions donāt matterā¦
I was not shunning your opinions, just asking for reasons and evidence to support your reason, and not just saying the thesis.
I only closed this topic for ten minutes to give people a chance to think about what they say before they say it, and some to edit their posts and add evidence to support their thesis.
I absolutely did NOT close it to make my opinion supreme, like many mightāve jump to in concluding.
Again, I am sorry if I caused any major or minor inconveniences in the processā¦
Thank you for your time!

Please stop Flagging my postsā¦
It is very uncool.
Can you unhide my post please?
Stringer flagged it for off-topic, but it is necessary for people on this topic like @Kat_Mac and @Bill_Hatpher to see my apology.
@Stringer
Please for the love of this forum, DO NOT flag this post for being off-topic when you didnāt flag ker.
Not to be rude, but Iāll stop pinging you when you stop flagging meā¦
Alrighty, Iāve decided to do one final comparison between Harmony Island and Dragon Isle.
Similarities
This will be split into two categories, Detrimental Similarities, and Non-Detrimental Similarities.
[ Detrimental Similarities ]
The gacha
A complete RNGfest, even when you discount the gacha.
Can get repetitive after a little bit.
[ Non-Detrimental Similarities ]
Scaling Bossfights that get harder the farther you get.
All kinds of obtainable gear, from relics to wands.
Can be pretty difficult when you get far in. (I say this is good because I think challenges = good, this could be a Detrimental similarity for some people)
Differences
Also split into two categories, however, itās just Dragon Isle and Harmony Island now, with a detrimental or non-detrimental label beside each.
Okay, Iām a bit confused about why people are flagging posts and silencing users without my consultation. This is the reason why I am demoting people from power.
If someone has an opinion, let them have it. This is a discussion. Also, if someone says something you donāt agree with, donāt flag it. If you want to bring something to my attention, it has to be reasonable and not biased.
Please donāt act off of emotion. Letās not argue about anything. People see things differently and if it is against your interpretation, let it be. Everyone is different, please accept that, and they will have different opinions. Weāve been doing good doing that already.
Yeah. I agree. Itās honestly a little disturbing that this happened over a discussion over a fictional game aspect, but it also wasnāt a huge deal as far as mod abuse goes.
This however is why moderators try not to get overly involved in discussions to the point where they canāt moderate fairly, and thatās what happened here.
