Now we will enter the Dragon Isle…

Finally, we reached our destination, the sacred Dragon Isle!
You see that portal?
Go inside!
whoosh
Now we will choose our rift, and that’s where I come in!

Many believe that speed is key to beating the dragon Isle, but unfortunately, that is false.
Really, play time and skill is the most crucial part, but if those aren’t enough, this is for you.

Tip #1) Skip the rewards screen when you see your rewards, instead of waiting for the continue button to pop up. I have done this in 99.999999% of the 300+ rift runs I have beaten. To do this, click where the continue button would be when it’s not there yet, and it does the same thing as if it did pop up, only quicker.

Tip #2) Never choose the “Remove gear” disadvantage. This is the worst disadvantage, for you will basically be on Level 1 all over again. I found out that it is impossible for both of the non-member options to be the “Remove gear” disadvantage, so whatever the other one is, it has got to be 10x better than this one.

Tip #3) Always consider your disadvantages and advantages when picking your pets. While it takes time and effort, it will help you more than getting to the last stage and losing, which is the worst. If your pet selection is limited, then choose one that have types not affected in this order:
Pets with the most Physical :physical:
Shadow :shadow:
Astral :astral:
Elemental :fire: :ice-element: :water: :plant: :storm:
View the strengths and weaknesses chart (unless you have it memorized like me) to see what your odds are.

Tip #4) Going along with the “Never choose the “Remove gear” disadvantage” tip, don’t choose the Phoenix one, especially if your available pets are not max level [1] I can tell you from experience, that unless you have the Phoenix advantage too, your chances [2] are slim to none, not considering weaknesses, resistance, and attributes.

I might come up with more, but that’s all I got right now.

Well, good luck wizard, and perhaps our paths will cross again…
Xavier Battlecaller [6], in and out!

  1. By that I literally mean 125, not 100 or higher. ↩︎

  2. if the pets are what I think they are… ↩︎

  3. I’ve calculated that all the pets on Rift 24 are buff to level 135. and the most health I’ve seen is 1690 on a Fathom ↩︎

  4. Edit: 1970 on a Snoots:

  5. Edit edit: 2198 on a Fathom!

what if you’re deliberately trying to go fast?

also don’t choose the enemy phoenix

Well then that’s your problem, and do whatever suits your needs of “Speedrunning the Dragon Isle” [1]

Yeah, I was trying to put that in my guide when I got sidetracked by @ARMADILLO pinging me, and I completely forgot to go back and finish putting something about that [2] in this guide…
I’m going to work on it right now!

  1. More like “trying to lose all my rift keys in the first 15 minutes” or “speedrunning an educational video game,” LMAO
I mean, grinding is one thing, speedrunning is a whole other thing altogether!
    :expressionless:
Then on the other hand, I was trying to speedrun the Crystal Caverns, but we don’t talk about that…
    ↩︎

  2. You’ll see! ↩︎

  3. And hopefully not get sidetracked by anything again, LOL. ↩︎

I once had to choose between Enemy Phoenix, and survivor, and ended up picking survivor due to multi-hits bypassing it.

Yeah, same here…
I’ve encountered that situation like, 4 times, and have always picked survivor.
It’s just easier to evade.

Just got reflect ice as my 2nd, and then on my last fight, it was ALL grass types . . .

LOL

Yeah, that happens to me a lot…
You need one thing, and you get the opposite or worse.

Yeah.

Not my worst pick tho.

I once had to choose between absorb physical and absorb astral.

Absorb astral is HORRID for me, since I only have astral spells on my wizard.

Absorb Physical is ABSOLUTELY menacing on my wizard, because I have 2 physical spells and one default astral spell…
:physical: = :white_check_mark:
:astral: = :negative_squared_cross_mark:
One of my physical spells has no cooldown, and really comes in handy.

  1. Especially in the arena! ↩︎

I assume your wand physical is feelers, and then your relic physical is the one from mightydrake’s relic?

I only use astral cuz astral storm does good chip damage.

No, it’s Dice, and the second most powerful wand in the game currently…

Yessir!

I used to, but you can only have one relic equipped, so I chose Mightydrake’s over Ancient’s Astral…

ah.

I assume its a drop from later dragons?

also are you able to get the pet ver of the dragons at later rifts?

Yes.

No, I bought a limited time membership package deal, LOL
It was when the Dragon Isle was just coming out, and they wanted to make some money on the idea…
I got it on the last day too, LMAO

TBH, they might add it back, but I doubt it…

sad.

you’d think they would be obtainable from their respective dragons but no.
:/

ah well.
I’m disappearing now.
