So, I haven’t been as active as I’ve wanted to be recently, and I’ve noticed that in the time period I’ve been gone, there have been some major issues that I’m going to address here and act accordingly to.
For starters, a certain user has brought to my attention that there are some issues with this forum. They explained to me that I have been giving trust levels too quickly, (which I haven’t in some cases, but the system is…) and especially when it comes to administration. I have given admin status to four users, but it seems logical that it is risky. Unfortunately, I’ve heard about some disciplinary actions such as an account being deleted for no apparent reason that were made without my consultation.
Therefore, I have decided to cut down on administration. I have removed administrating status from some users, demoted them to regulars, and kept one other admin besides myself to continue with their role. I decided by reviewing their activity, decisions, and requirements met. Those demoted will still keep their moderating roles, for now, until I decide how things are going to go down.
The second thing: If something is wrong, LET ME KNOW. I apologize for being busy and inactive for quite some time, but before anything goes on or someone decides to take action, CONSULT or ASK me first!! One user’s account was deleted, and I wasn’t there to see why it was. I have heard no reasons for it, and this is an example of authoritative abuse.
Therefore, I have demoted some users to balance out moderation. I have demoted some regulars so they can earn their roles legitimately, and will continue to take action so that this forum can become as great as I see it becoming.
If anything else goes wrong, let me know! I will be on it! Don’t go and take your own actions without my consultation!
Your current trust levels for other users who weren’t demoted, are almost certainly going to not change until you are demoted higher by my terms. trust-level-3, or trust-level-4. I have some ideas for promoting a certain user to moderation, as they meet the requirements. Once again, LET ME KNOW if something goes wrong!!
